Dimora

A legacy of elegance

Verdura Heritage is more than just a palace; it's a home that reflects the creative, cultured, and visionary spirit of Fulco della Verdura, a symbol of free-spirited elegance deeply rooted in Sicily.
A designer, artist, and cosmopolitan spirit, his creations—inspired by leaves, shells, animals, and ancient symbols—express a vision of beauty that is free, elegant, and profoundly personal.
Today, that same sensibility is found throughout the home, in the lighting, in the details, and in the balance between history and modernity.
Verdura Heritage was born from this history. And it preserves its spirit, a balance between Sicilian roots and openness to the world.
The spaces retain the original soul of the residence: high vaulted ceilings, painted decorations, airy rooms, and a layout that speaks to the place's aristocratic past.
The large frescoed hall, the heart of the house, welcomes breakfast every morning in a unique setting, while the terrace overlooking the internal garden offers a rare haven of peace in the city center.
Here, time slows down. And every detail is designed to make guests feel immersed in a story.
Staying here means coming into contact with this cultural heritage, made of beauty, vision, and creative freedom.

The Duca Fulco della Verdura, history

The building that houses Verdura Heritage is linked to Fulco della Verdura, a Palermo aristocrat, cousin of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa (The Leopard) and a celebrated jewelry designer. He is considered a 20th-century style icon.

What inspires you? Everything.

Born in 1898 into an aristocratic Sicilian family, the founder of Verdura Gioielli, Duke Fulco di Verdura, with his maison on New York's Fifth Avenue, began his extraordinary career in Paris as a designer for Coco Chanel. After eight years with Chanel, during which he created, among other things, the Maltese cross bracelets that became her signature. A friend and designer to Luchino Visconti, Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, Greta Garbo, and Salvador Dalí, Fulco della Verdura revolutionized the world of jewelry with a style inspired by nature: leaves, shells, animals, and organic elements transformed into works of art.
In front of the camera, Hollywood divas wear Cartier and Tiffany, but behind the scenes, they choose Fulco di Verdura.
